"Caddy" is his call name. He is one of the Rincon x Allie puppies born this January and is the littermate to Claire. He is now owned by Grandgables shelties and yesterday he won Winners Dog and Best of Winners for his first major. Congratulations to Guy, Mark, and Caddy.
Eden also won a 3 point major bringing her within 1 point of her championship as well. She is in Arizona being shown by Sue Healy.
"Cute Claire" is how I seem to always be referring to her at the moment. This weekend, two breeder/judges awarded "Cute Claire" Best of Breed on both Friday and Saturday for her first AKC championship points. I didn't show her in the groups as I thought she was too immature to handle the pressure, but on Saturday they had special groups for the Best Puppies of each breed. Since she was Best of Breed, she was automatically best sheltie puppy. She placed 2nd in the Puppy Herding group!! Claire is a Rincon x Allie daughter.
Sunday, Liza won Best of Breed for her first point! That was quite a weekend!
Allie had a litter of 6 sired by Rincon. There are 4 boys- 2 sables and 2 tricolors, and 2 girls- both sable. All of the puppies were large, fat and healthy. Allie is a great mother. I look forward to getting pictures of them on the blog.

This weekend Allie won her first points in the US and she did it by winning a Major! She is currently being shown by Jessica Starbuck and she was at some shows in Tenn. This past weekend I was at specialty shows in Maryland, but my luck was not as good.
Congratulations Allie and Jessica.
Allie wins her final point under judge Bart Miller. Allie was handled by her breeder, Guy Jeavons who reports that Mr. Miller "actually felt heads, looked for depth of skull, assessed shoulders, etc, etc." Thank you Mr. Miller for really examining the dogs. Thank you Guy and Mark for allowing me to share such a quality bitch with you. Allie is Canadian Champion #54 for her sire Am/Can. Ch. Apple Acres Expedition.
Allie will be bred to Am/Can. Ch. Grandgables Boy Oh Boy when she comes into season this summer. This year BoyBoy was Best of Opposite sex at both the American Shetland Sheepdog Association (ASSA) National Speciality and the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association (CSSA) National Specialty.
Allie is in Canada visiting her breeders Guy Jeavons and Mark McMillian. This past weekend Allie won a specialty show under the respected judge Joe Molloy. Mr. Molloy said that he loved her head profile with correct stop, he loved her neck and of course her lovely movement.
She won two days, the second day was also a breeder judge, Leslie Rogers.
Both judges commented that she is a VERY valuable bitch. Thank you Guy and Mark for sharing her with me. I think she is valuable too!

"Allie" as she is known to friends, was purchased from Guy Jeavons and Mark McMillan (GrandGables shelties) when she was about 4 months old. Allie is co-owned with Guy and Mark and went to visit them and be shown in Canada. She has done exceptionally well, winning 5 pts. under breeder /judge Leslie Rogers and then 2 pts. the next day giving her a total of 7 pts. (out of the required 10 points needed in Canada) her first weekend in the ring! This weekend she won another 2 pts. leaving her just 1 pt. away from her Canadian Championship.
Allie is a Ch. Apple Acres Expedition, ROM, ROMC (call name "Trek") daughter out of Can. Ch. GrandGables Whos That Girl. Her litter sister is Can. Ch. GrandGables Schoolgirl Crush- owned by Guy and Mark.
I am so thrilled that Guy and Mark were willing to share this lovely girl with me. As you can see, Allie has many good qualities- what you can not see is that Allie has a wonderful, correct, harsh coat, and movement you could watch all day. THANK YOU Guy and Mark for this valuable addition.
