Aiden is now a Grand Champion! He is now GCH. Acadia's Stage Director. He had a wonderful weekend of shows. He was pulled for consideration in one group, and placed 3rd in the group on a different day. A women came up to me when I was walking out of the ring, touched my arm, and said, Love, Love LOVE your sheltie! That was really nice. I walked back to my set up and another person said to me, I have been watching you this weekend and you two are a really lovely team. It's true that showing dogs is a team sport. It is what I love the most about showing dogs. I love the connection with the dog. I love the time spent focused on the dog. I love being a part of the team. ![]() |

YAY!! My friend Eileen Seirup told me she was going to shows in New Castle, PA and asked, did I have anyone she could take and show. Yes, Windsor was looking good, but he had never been to a show, and he had also never been to a handling class. He "looked" the part, but I didn't think he would "act" the part. I told Eileen that I would love it if she took him along and trained him. No pressure- just make it Fun. WELL!! He was Winners Dog 2 days- and the 2nd day was for a Major!! WOW!! No pressure, but now he has 4 points- with a Major!!!
The first day, Eileen said he really didn't know what he was doing and he wasn't moving well. Yesterday she told me he seems to have figured this out and he moved So much better- I guess the judge agreed!. The weather has been horrible. It has been raining and Eileen took her camper and is staying on the show grounds. She said the site is muddy and that is making it more of a challenge. In his win photo- I was expecting him to look muddy- she is going a good job.
Eileen is showing 2 of her own girls and she is going well and winning with them also. Eileen as been having a very good weekend. She has never been to these shows before and I would be willing to bet that the competition is looking forward to her going home :-)
Acadia's Film Director (Ch. Acadia's Stage Director x Laureate Zinfandoll)
Ch. Sunburst Acadia Here I Come, "Carrie", should have been my first. She produced 4 champions, 1 additional son with 12 points, 1 major (1 major short of the championship), and another daughter with a major. Six show winners in all, but only 4 champions. While she did not achieve the ROM status, Carrie is the anchor of my breeding program which consists of 9 consecutive generations of champion girls on the tail-female line. This line is on Carrie's Page and Dove's page.
Chica is the 8th consecutive generation of Champion girls. Her father is "Aidan"- GCh. Acadia's Stage Director and her mother is the Best In Show winner, Century Club member, GChS. Acadia Stage Presence, CC.
Chica is the mother of:
GChB Acadia Gregarious, BCAT
Ch. Acadia Peggin Iced Latte, RA, PT, OJP, FDC, VCX
Ch. Acadia Trusted Opinion, FDC
Ch. Acadia Everyone's Opinion
Ch. Peggin Acadia Breve, PT, RN, NJP, TKN, FDC, CGC, VCX
and..
Acadia's Celestial Mystery, MX, MXJ, MJG, NF

Chica is the 8th Consecutive generation of Champion bitches and the 6th consecutive generation of Acadia bred bitches. I am hoping that Tecla and Trestle will follow in her footsteps.

Emmett is sired by Aiden (Ch. Acadia's Stage Director) out of Joy (Ch. Barwoods D'Lightful). The two boys had gotten to the point where they both needed a major to finish and this weekend there were majors. Aiden finished on Saturday, and Emmett finished Sunday.
Today Both Aiden and his sister, Acadia Light Up The Stage, "Lolo" - won 4 point majors. That finished Aiden's championship while Lolo now just needs 1 point for the coveted title.
My friend Sharon is here visiting and showing with her dogs. We have had a really wonderful visit and this may be the best vacation of the summer- well, it certainly has been the best vacation so far! :-)
A snow storm was forecasted for Sunday and some of the competitors went home after the show on Saturday. It wasn't snowing yet- and we have waited Months for a show- so we stayed. It paid off and Aiden was Winners Dog again for another 2 points.
It was made even better when his sister, Acadia Light Up The Stage, was Winners Bitch. Aiden was then Best of Breed and Lolo was Best of Opposite over a special. Sunday these two won everything there was to win.
The snow had started to come down and I didn't end up staying for the group. It snowed about 4 or 5 inches and the drive home was slow- but Oh Wow was the weekend worth it!
